California Assembly Bill No. 1200 (AB1200) Cookware Disclosure

(California's Assembly Bill No. 1200 requires manufacturers of cookware to make specific disclosures about their products sold in the state of California. The disclosures are based on whether certain chemicals are intentionally added to the cookware.

"Cookware" means items used to prepare, dispense, or store food or foodstuffs: baking sheets, trays, and baskets are considered cookware.

"Intentionally added" means that the manufacturer has intentionally added the chemical to the product and the chemical has a functional or technical effect in the product. For example, this might mean a protective coating that increases the quality of the product.

The cookware products identified here comply with relevant limits and rules established by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and are considered food-contact safe.
